BSNL Buzz is a service from BSNL for mobile customers, in which when your phone is in idle mode, teasers or small buzz messages related to topics like entertainment, lifestyle, sports, business, fun, polls, daily news updates are delivered to your mobile. When you activate a BSNL SIM card, through which BSNL BUZZ is available, you automatically accept the terms and conditions for teaser delivery.
Recently, I bought a new BSNL SIM card. After the activation, when ever I unlock the phone, I was getting lots of buzz message one after another. I have to click on cancel / back button multiple time to view the home screen. Some times when some call arrives, it was difficult to attend calls due to this teaser popups. So I decided to deactivate the BSNL buzz. Here are the steps to Deactivate or Turn Off BSNL Buzz.
How to Turn Off BSNL Buzz Service
Step1: Check for "SIM tool kit" or "SIM Services" application in your mobile screen
The application icon may look similar to these icons
Step2: Click on the Icon to Open the application.
Step3: This will list all the Service providers.
If you are using a dual SIM mobile and using BSNL and Airtel , then it will be listed as
Step4: Click on BSNL Mobile
Now you will get a list of BSNL value added services list, here you can find "BSNL Buzz"
Step5: Click on BSNL Buzz
Now you will have the options to Activation , Service Info , My topics
Step6: Click on Activation
Now you will see the options to Activate , Deactivate , Launch client
Step7: Click on Deactivate to turn off BSNL Buzz services
How to Turn On / Activate BSNL Buzz Service
You may later activate or turn on BSNL buzz by following above steps till step 6 and then select the Activate option.
