How to add "Link to this page" option under blogger posts?

Steps in adding Link to this page to your blogger posts
Links to your page can improve your page rank. So it is a good option to add HTML code for linking to your web page. So that reader can copy and paste it on their web page. if another website links to your web page, this is considered an external link to your website. External links to your website are the most important source of ranking power and in SEO terminology it is considered as third party ranking vote for your page.

A sample Link to this page look like this:
<a href="Your Post link">Your post title</a>
<a href="Your_Domain.com/your_post_link.html">Your post title</a>

For websites hosted on blogger, we have blogger variables to access the Post titles and post links.
data:post.url : Blogger variable to access Post Url
data:post.title : Blogger variable to access Post title


Inorder to add Link to the page code, we can place a the HTML code for generating the anchor tag code in a text area just below the blogger post. For adding the code do the following steps:

  1. Login to blogger
  2. Select your blogger website
  3. Click on Theme on left menu
  4. Click on Edit HTML button to open the HTML template editor.
  5. Click inside the editor.
  6. Click Ctrl+F to open search box in the editor.
  7. Search for "<data:post.body/>".
  8. Just below the data:post.body tag, place the following code:

<textarea style='width:100%;height:50px'><a expr:href='data:post.url' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'><data:post.title/></a></textarea> Simply Copy and paste the above HTML code to your web page.

This will look like:

target='_blank' will open your web page in a new browser tab.
rel='nofollow' instructs some search engines that the link should not influence the ranking of the link's target in the search engine's index.
