SBI account holders may have received an SMS with following message, supposed to be from State Bank of India (SBI).
** Replace the four Zeros with last 4 digits of your debit card number
Recently many of the SBI account holder has losed their money due to a hi-tech ATM robbery which happened in Thiruvananthapuram, capital city of Kerala.
Suspects who were foreign nationals installed skimming device , cameras and wireless magnetic data receivers in various ATMs and captured card numbers and pin numbers, after that they made duplicate cards and withdrew money from multiple account holders. Police suspects that more debit card details have been exposed and there are chances of more rob attempts.
According to reports coming from various new channels, more than 400 card details are exposed. So All SBI ATM / Debit card holders are requested to check their account and change their ATM card pin number immediately.

How to block your SBI ATM Card ( SBI ATM Card blocking )
You can now Block your SBI ATM cum Debit Card through OnlineSBI, in case your card is lost or stolen. Follow these simple steps to immediately block your card:
Step 1: Login to www.onlinesbi.com
Step 2: Select "ATM Card Services > Block ATM Card" link under the "e-Services" tab.
Step 3: Select the Account Number to which the ATM cum Debit Card is associated with.
Step 4: All the Active and blocked cards will be displayed. You will be shown the first 4 and last 4 digits of the card(s).
Step 5: Select the Card, you wish to block and click "Submit". Verify the details and confirm.
Step 6: Select the mode of authentication as either SMS OTP or Profile Password.
Step 7: On the next screen, enter the OTP password /Profile password as chosen earlier and Click "Confirm".
Step 8: A success message would be displayed with a Ticket No. after successful blocking of your ATM cum Debit Card. Note this Ticket No. for future reference.
