This article expains how to extract actual images from a word document.
When you place an image in a microsoft documents ( files with doc, docx entensions), the image will be scaled to fix in the document. To extract back the orginal image, there is currently no options in MS office doc tools, for this, you have to close the doc file and then rename it to .zip
suppose your MSOffice Doc file name is "mydoc.docx", then rename that to "mydoc.zip". Now right click on the zip file and open it in a archive manager application like winzip or any other extracting tool. then you can see various folder in which the companents of the docx file are organised. There will be a folder called "word" in that there will be "media" folder, in that you can find the actual images.
Try this and put your comments here, also share if you have any other options. Thanks:)
