Online Sitemap XML Generator for your Blogger Blog

Online Sitemap XML Generator for your Blogger Blog

Sitemap is an XML file which helps the search engines to detect the latest pages or posts on your site. sitemap file is crawled by the search engines crawlers and later the page urls are added to search engines index.

This post is helpful for both regular Blogger blogs (that use a .blogspot.com address) and also the self-hosted Blogger blogs that use a custom domain (like yourdomain.com).

A complete sitemap file will have all your posts, but if your blog is hosted on blogger, then it may have only latest 25 posts. So there is a chance of de-indexing of your old pages by the search engines.

Here’s what you need to do to expose your blog’s complete site structure to search engines with the help of an XML sitemap.

Please follow the steps given below:

Step 1. Open the Sitemap Generator (http://ctrlq.org/blogger/) and type the full address of your blogspot blog or your self-hosted Blogger blog.

Step 2. Click the Create Sitemap button and this tool will instantly generate the necessary text for your sitemap. Copy the entire generated text.

Step 3. Go to your Blogger dashboard and under Settings – > Search Preferences, the enable Custom robots.txt option (available in the Crawling and Indexing section). Paste the copied text here and save your changes.

Example: Result of the above operation will be similar to the one given below

= = = = = = = = Result Start = = = = = = = =
