Setting Valid Landing page for Adwords Destination URL

When we use dynamic keyword insertion in destination url of the google Adword, You will get different destination urls based on the matching between our keyword list and user searched keyword.

In the Adword setting we give like this :

so if your Adword keyword list contains following keys:

Bank Openings
IT Openings
Govt Jobs
Gulf Openings

then, there is a chance of getting following destination urls

http://phptechi/jobs/banks openings.html
http://phptechi/jobs/it openings.html
http://phptechi/jobs/govt jobs.html
http://phptechi/jobs/gulf openings.html


So in order to handle this dynamic destination urls, you have do some tricks with HTACCESS file. You have to implement some mod_rewrite rules to catch this urls and lead to a valid page in website.

You can point all this links to a search page which accept the keywords as its search term.

Suppose you have a search page called "search.php" and it accepts search term as "key"

it may look like http://phptechi/search.php?key=govt jobs

using htaccess mod_rewrite rules you can change this dynamic urls to seo friendly url like
http://phptechi/jobs/govt jobs.html

in the htaccess file add this rule:

RewriteEngine On

RewriteBase /

RewriteRule ^jobs/([a-z0-9\-_]+).html$ search.php?key=$1 [L]


ErrorDocument 404 http://vacancies-online.blogspot.com

in the search.php
take the keyword from GET variable and display it a title and subheading(in h1 tags) of the page.
