In 1911 George V (George Frederick Ernest Albert ) was crowned as the King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, Emperor of India. The British government released new silver rupees in India to celebrate the coronation of their new King.

First in One Day International (ODI) cricket Which was the First One Day International (ODI) in cricket history? The first ODI was played on January 5th of 1971 between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.It was a 40 over game and each over consisted of 8 balls.Australia won the game by 5 wickets. Another interesting fact is The first One-Day International match was played on the fifth day of a rain-aborted Test match to fill the time available and as compensation for the frustrated crowd.
